They have a very thin and flexible base just like tape wefts with the extra feature of threading pockets. Mini-Wefts can be used for volume and/or lengthening. Preloaded with Polymer Loops and connections, the Mini-Weft system threads to the natural hair without glue, tape, or needles. Mini-Wefts come in 8 x 1 ½-inch wide wefts ready to use, straight out of the packaging

Easy and fast installation and removal

Mini-Wefts can be applied with great ease and speed, and the technique is easy to learn. It takes just a couple of seconds to remove a Mini-Weft. A full head removal takes approximately 20 minutes, leaving no residue behind in the hair. Mini-Wefts can be reused instantly after removal

Fitting & Removing Mini-Wefts

30 minutes Installation time

Average installation time for a single Mini-Weft of 1 ½ inch width is just under one minute (excluding sectioning off). For a full head, you may use up to three packs of Mini-Wefts which total up to 24 wefts of 1 ½ inch width. Hence, the total installation time can be completed in around 30 minutes

60 minutes removal and refitting time

Total removal and refitting time is just one hour. This is calculated excluding making all the sections before installation. The greatest advantage of our Mini-Weft is that the removal and refitting time is lot shorter. You only have to insert the Polymer Loops with new connection links, which takes about 10 minutes time for 24 wefts, and they can be reapplied straightaway

FAQs

Hair Extension

  • Can I reuse the connection links?

    No, connection links are not suitable for reuse. You must use new ones with every installation.

  • How frequently does the Mini-Weft need to be refitted?

    This varies from person to person. We recommend maintenance re-lifts at six week intervals, however it depends on how strong the natural hair is, how fast it grows and how well the hair is maintained. Volume services (one pack) can often be worn longer as they are installed underneath and not positioned so high up.

  • Can I colour my natural hair while wearing the Mini-Weft?

    Technically, you can colour your hair while wearing Mini-Wefts, however we do not recommend this. The wearing period is a maximum of eight weeks, which is usually the time to touch up any regrowth. The best practice is to coincide the colouring service with the refitting of the wefts. If you do colour the hair, it is very important to rinse the hair thoroughly to make sure there is no colouring residue left behind in the hair and the weft. Also, when you do want to colour the hair extensions we recommend using one of the Pre-lightened B series as a base. Note: any chemical alteration makes the warranty null and void.

  • Can I use my own shampoo and conditioner?

    We recommend specific products from Carla Lawson Hair Extensions that are sulphate free. Always rinse the hair twice as long as you would normally. Build-up in the hair and the wefts can affect their durability and wearing experience.

  • Can I colour the hair?

    No, we do not recommend that you colour the Mini-Weft hair. We do however, have a special B series in six shades especially for that purpose. These colours have only been lifted until the colour level of the specific B series colour. They have not been re-coloured so you can give the last finish to them in your own chosen colour. All chemical treatments however, make warranties null and void.
